SJPD chief to speak about officer-involved shooting


SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) --
San Jose Police Chief Chris Moore is expected to speak today about a fatal shooting involving one of his officers.




Police still haven't revealed if the man who was killed was carrying a weapon. What we do know is that four officers responded to a 911 call of an armed suspect at an apartment complex on Wooster Avenue. A short time after they arrived, a man was tased by two officers. Minutes later, he was shot and killed by a third officer. One resident at the apartment complex says he thinks deadly force was necessary.

Police say the officer who fired the fatal shot is a 28-year veteran of the department.
